Description
Speed demons have been clamoring for a halfway slick option—a tire that marries the quickness of our slicks with the grip of our knobbies. They weren't interested in a regular halfway slick, but the identical circular shape to our other Rene Herse tires for steady cornering traction in all situations—be it a sloppy gravel race or a lightning-fast downhill with tight switchbacks.
We reinvented semi-slick tires over a three-year period, resulting in three new patents. The Corkscrew Climb semi-slick is named after the biggest climb of the SBT GRVL race in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Instead of distinct tread zones, the slick tread seamlessly transitions into the side knobs for better and more predictable grip. Our clever noise cancelling technology makes this tire eerily quiet, making it perfect for gravel riding.
Innovations abound: The tread radius is larger than the casing, making for a tire that turns like a wider one. This also lets us keep the center tread thin and smooth for minimal rolling resistance, while the high side knobs ensure top-notch grip on sinking surfaces.
Double up with our bendable casings, and BOOM! a semi-slick tire that's speedier than the slickest on the block. We ain't throwing around "revolution" willy-nilly - test these bad boys out for yourself and let us know if you catch a change!
Choose the Standard casing for an affordable yet durable option, providing both comfort and speed while enduring heavy use. Upgrade to the Extralight casing for a noticeable increase in performance, comfort, and feel. For added protection against sidewall damage and punctures without sacrificing speed and comfort, go with the Endurance casing. And for the toughest conditions, the Endurance Plus casing offers the ultimate in sidewall protection.
