Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8 Frameset
Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8 Frameset
Description
Nothing can outrun the Tarmac SL8, thanks to its supreme blend of aerodynamics, lightweight design, and unbeatable ride quality. Developed over two decades and eight generations, this is not just the quickest Tarmac yet - it's truly the world's top race bike. Are your legs ready for the ride?
In the quest for winning races, it's not just about aerodynamics or lightweight - it's all about speed. And to achieve that, we've finely balanced aerodynamics, lightweight, stiffness, and compliance. Our Ride Science team has put the Tarmac SL8 to the test with real world data, and it's proven to be the fastest race bike ever, shaving off 16.6 seconds in a 40km race, 128 seconds in Milan San Remo, and 20 seconds on the iconic Tourmalet climb.
-
AERO IN EVERYTHING: Get ready to fly with the Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8 Frameset - the most aerodynamic road bike ever. Our new "Speed Sniffer" nose cone and narrow seat post will have you cutting through the air like a hot knife through butter. And with the head tube sleekly designed for minimum drag, you'll feel like you're cheating the wind. It's like having your own personal victory scent!
-
MINIMUM WEIGHT, MAXIMUM AERO: The Tarmac SL8 was inspired by Aethos, allowing for easy assembly at the UCI minimum weight while also being equipped with full aero features. The team produced a mind-boggling, scale-tickling frame weighing in at a mere 685 grams - 15% lighter than the Tarmac SL7 and any other bike on the World Tour*. With a focus on minimizing weight in the down tube, seat tube, and rear of the bike, Aethos' lessons were put to good use. The frame's unique design efficiently distributes load, making additional carbon stiffness layers unnecessary. *Unless you count the time Kasper Asgreen used our 585 gram Aethos frame during a Tour stage.
-
GOES LIKE HELL, RIDES LIKE HEAVEN: Experience a 33% improvement in stiffness-to-weight with the Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8 Frameset - a step up from the legendary SL7. This bike is pedal-stiff, bar-precise, and saddle-comfortable, setting the new standard for race bike performance. Thanks to Rider-First Engineering, riders of all sizes can enjoy the same unparalleled handling and ride quality. With 6% more compliance in the saddle, you'll glide over rough roads with a smoothness rarely seen in high-performance bikes. The proven geometry and 32mm tire clearance remain unchanged from the SL7, ensuring easy customization and the option to use larger tires when needed.
