22/23 Cervelo Aspero SC Apex XPLR 1
Description
HAUL ASS, NOT CARGO
We created Áspero with a need for speed, determined to conquer finish lines, KOMs, PRs, and FKTs without apology. This bike knows no boundaries, made for those who thrive on pushing them. It's extremely rigid - brutal Classics-rigid - and delivers the road bike performance you desire off-road. It may sound crazy, but that's what we were going for when we squeezed larger tires into our current frames and swapped out forks to fit a 40mm tire on the front.
MULTIPLE CONFIGURATIONS
Our team created Aspero with enough space for 700c x 40mm or 650b x 49mm tires. It's important to consider different factors like rim width, tire casing, and tread depth when determining the final clearance. We typically suggest leaving at least 4mm between the tire and the frame. **New Shimano road (not gravel) 12 speed front derailleurs may limit rear tire clearance to 700 x 38c or 650b x 45c.
TWO-POSITION ADJUSTMENT
A bike's ability to respond to the rider's input is essential for high-speed handling. By flipping the two-position "Trail Mixer" to adjust for the difference in tire circumference between a 650b and 700c, the handling remains consistent with constant trail measurements.
