Maybe you’ve seen these handsome bikes at the races lately? Maybe not? Breadwinner, located in the Arbor Lodge neighborhood of North Portland, has been furiously turning out some amazing steel race bikes. We have several bikes and frames in stock including their road-race, traditional road, cross, commuter, and touring bikes.
Pictured here is their Holeshot cyclocross bike, built up with Dura-Ace 9000 series components, Paul Components polished cantilever brakes, a collection of silver Thomson components, and Chris King R45 hubs laced to Velocit A23 rims, wrapped in classic looking Challenge Open Tubulars (what Challenge calls a clincher).
The idea was to create a vintage, all silver, bike that looks it was pulled down from your parents garage rafters and hosed off. In a day of black and red components, it’s a good throwback that catches everyone’s eye. Moments later the individual realize its a full-blown modern race machine.
If you would like to take a ride on a breadwinner, or have one built up your way, swing by the shop, or give us a call!
