If you and your kid(s) love to mountain bike, you owe it to yourselves to join us at the upcoming Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day, hosted by NWTA and co-sponsored by Cyclepath. The event will take place October 3rd, 2015 from 4pm – 6pm, at the easyCLIMB Trail in Cascade Locks, Oregon.
Located 40 miles east of Portland in the Columbia River Gorge, easyCLIMB is a great place for kids and mountain biking newcomers of all stripes. The trail system was built by volunteers from the Northwest Trail Alliance (NWTA) and designed to provide a mix of windy single-track, smooth berms, scenic views, and natural beauty over three miles — all with less than 200 feet of climbing.
In addition to riding, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about trail maintenance, improve your skills, enjoy a scavenger hunt, games, prizes and food. Additionally, it’s a great chance to meet fellow mountain bikers and trail builders in your community. This is a free event that takes place at a national level – last year our branch of TKMBD was one of the nation’s largest, with nearly 150 kids!
